I already do Radial approach. Have done this intermittently for about 15 years, but never committed to it being the main technique. My cocktail is Ntg 200mcg+Heparin 2000u+Verapamil 500mcg, given initially and at the end of the case. The question is when you give heparin, how does that impact your decision whether or not to stay with heparin or to use bivalirudin along with heparin. I'm not aware of any studies looking at this. Thanks.

I found this presentation to be very informative. As a TECHNOLOGIST, I feel that Cardiologists will have more support from their staff if the technologists are recognized as such rather than technicians. A technician refers to someone with no educational background, and to be employed in the Cath Lab many levels of education must be obtained. Once again, I would like to thank you for the informative presentation, and hope to see these changes made in your future presentations.
Sincerely,
Jodi McCall R.T.(R),RCIS,BS and Lauren Morris R.T.(R)(M)

Jennifer did made some excellent points on the seemingly simple idea of "good reasons" to start a TI Program. Her highlighting of bleeding complications in women vs men was spot on, and poignant. much appreciated. -dora, www.goldenrule.com
