LEARNING OBJECTIVES:
Upon completion of this educational activity, p a rticipants should be able to: • Discuss the human dynamics in the cath lab; • Utilize new methods for interventional cardiology procedures; • Utilize new types of stents and hemodynamic support devices; • Review the indications and contraindications for cardiac catheterization; • Identify complications in the cath lab and utilize appropriate management techniques for these complications; • Explain the art i facts of pressure measurement and the application of pressure waveforms to diagnosis.
