ASAHI INTECC CO. Announces Launch of the ASAHI Corsair Armet Microcatheter in the U.S.

January 9, 2017 -- ASAHI INTECC CO., LTD. announces the full launch of the ASAHI Corsair Armet microcatheter in the US.  The ASAHI Corsair Armet is a durable, low profile microcatheter that is approved for use in the peripheral vasculature. Corsair Armet’s Super SHINKA-Shaft provides excellent support for the guide wire and can be rotated to facilitate advancement. Corsair Armet’s low profile metal tip resists trapping and damage in calcified lesions.

Dr. J. A. Mustapha, The Director of Endovascular Intervention and Research at Metro Health Hospital said, “The ASAHI Corsair Armet catheter is an important tool to advance the treatment of CLI. The catheter’s braided design navigated complex anatomy easily and its metal tip was able to cross highly calcified lesions without becoming damaged.”

This microcatheter is compatible with .014-inch guidewires and is available in 60cm, 90cm, 135cm and 150cm lengths.
