Demonstration of Diamondback 360® Coronary Orbital Atherectomy System (OAS) to treat a 76-year old male, who presented with acute shortness of breath and a non-STEMI. Coronary angiography and intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) revealed severely calcified lesions in the left main coronary artery and left anterior descending (LAD) coronary artery, and will be treated with OAS prior to stent placement, with Impella®– assisted support. Michael Kim, MD, and Atul Kukar, DO will use the Diamondback 360 Coronary OAS in this complex case to effectively modify the severe calcium in the left main coronary artery and LAD coronary artery, enabling successful stent delivery to help optimize stent expansion and percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) outcomes.
